Struggling third division club Shrewsbury dumped Premiership high-flyers Everton out of the FA Cup this afternoon in one of the biggest upsets in the history of the competition.
Veteran journeyman Nigel Jemson was the Shrews hero with both goals in a famous 2-1 victory in the third round tie at Gay Meadow, the winner coming just two minutes before the end of time.
Jemson had put the home side ahead just before half-time. But Shrewsbury boss Kevin Ratcliffe, the Everton captain during the mid-eighties, must have thought the chance of a famous victory over his former club had disappeared when Niclas Andersson equalised on the hour mark.
Yet his side, displaying a composure which belied their current position in 18th place in the third division, kept taking the game to the Merseyside giants and they got their reward when Jemson popped up to head home the late winner.
Farnborough ensured there would be at least one non-league team in Monday's draw for the fourth round with a 3-2 win at third division Darlington.

Matt Jansen found the back of the net for the first time since May with a double in Blackburn's 4-1 win over Premiership rivals Aston Villa.
