Former England striker Teddy Sheringham says his future at Tottenham Hotspur is likely to depend on the team's results in the next six games.

Sheringham's contract with the club runs out at the end of the season and he does not know whether he will be offered a new one.

"The manager (Glenn Hoddle) said to me a little while ago that he will wait until the end of the season to see where we are, whether we will be in Europe next season and how much money he will have to spend," he said.

"So it is really out of my hands and I am just waiting to see what happens. I signed a two-year contract when I came back from Manchester United and I am coming to the end of that."
