Shelbourne could be without new club captain Jim Gannon for tomorrow's UEFA Cup preliminary round first leg tie against Danish side Brondby.

Shelbourne have been in Copenhagen, the Danish capital, since Tuesday morning and have had three training sessions.

Their final session was in the Brondby Stadium, a ground with a capacity of 30,000 which club officials expect to be one third full.

But visiting manager Dermot Keely has only one selection decision to make, whether or not Gannon has recovered sufficiently from his hamstring injury.

Keely said: "He went through some of our sessions yesterday morning - he didn't seem comfortable - if he isn't so then he won't play.

"There's no pressure on him to play, there are people willing and able to fill the gap."
