A Sinn Fein councillor in Armagh city, Mr Sean McGirr, has claimed the RUC "assaulted him, raided his home, terrorised his children and arrested him" early last Sunday. He said both he and a daughter had been charged by the RUC with assault but he was taking legal advice and intended to take a counter-action against the force.
The RUC in Armagh said if Mr McGirr wished to make an official complaint the matter would be fully investigated.
