Washington - Seven people were missing last night after a US Marine Corps helicopter carrying 18 people crashed off the coast of California, military officials said.
The CH-46 Sea Knight helicopter went down at 1.16 p.m. local time as it approached a navy refueling ship, the USS Pecos, 25 miles off the coast of California, said Sgt Bill Lisbon, a Marine Corps spokesman.
