A teenage girl has become the second person to die following a road accident near the Co Galway village of Killimer last weekend.
Ms Marie O'Donnell, the eldest of a family of nine, from Cloughbrack, Eyrecourt, Co Galway, died in a Dublin hospital, where she had been transferred with multiple injuries.
Her companion, Mr Noel Quirke (20), of Heathlawn, Killimer, died last Saturday. Both had just got out of a car to go to the 21st birthday party of a friend when they were struck by a passing car.
