The search was continuing yesterday for the body of a 32year-old German who fell overboard from a Shannon cruiser in Lough Derg on Friday. The accident happened near Terryglass, Co Tipperary.
The Shannon Marine Rescue Helicopter, the Garda SubAqua Team and local search and rescue services backed up by gardai from Borrisokane, are involved in the search. The victim, who was single, was with five friends when the accident happened at 11.30 a.m. Conditions on the lake were good.
