An SDLP councillor in Derry yesterday described the shooting of a 19-year-old man as "the unacceptable law of the jungle".
Shaun Gallagher said the paramilitary type shooting of the victim in the garden of his home was "an act of sheer brutality". The victim was in his Slievemore Park home in the Carnhill area of the city with his parents when three masked men forced their way into the house on Sunday night.
