Glasgow - Two footballers who were sacked by their club amid allegations that they used drugs at a players' party were told last night that they must wait to learn their fate.

Northern Ireland international George O'Boyle (33), and ex-Hearts and Morton player Kevin Thomas, 25, were dismissed by Perth-based St Johnstone FC in January for gross misconduct. After a hearing at the Scottish Premier League headquarters in Glasgow, the players were informed that a final decision would be unlikely for another fortnight.
