The Rose of Tralee has taken a break from her official duties for a number of weeks, it emerged today.
It is believed she is seeking medical help and counselling for an eating disorder.
Ms Tamara Gervasoni (22) won the contest last August. The telemarketing agent was the first ever Italian Rose. She was born in Sligo.
