The Republic of Ireland have dropped one place to 15th in the official FIFA World rankings.

The drop comes about because of Cameroon's leap from 16th to 12th spot and Italy's slide from 11th to 14th.

The top three positions remain unchanged with Brazil leading the way, France second and Spain third.

Holland move up one position to fourth, while Argentina, Germany and England each slide two places to sixth, eighth and 10th respectively.

Zimbabwe are in the top 50 for the first time since April 1997.

Wales remain unchanged in 51st spot, Scotland drop one place to 60th while Northern Ireland are also unchanged but languish down the table in 110th.

Australia, the Republic of Ireland's opponents at Lansdowne Road on August 19th, have plunged 13 positions to 63rd.
