Two men charged in connection with an assault on a gay American writer in Sligo in January were further remanded on bail at Sligo District Court yesterday.
Mr Ian Monaghan (20), Pearse Road, Sligo, and Mr Glen Mahon (21), Banks Drive, Cranmore, Sligo, are charged with intentionally or recklessly causing serious harm to Mr Robert Drake (36). Mr Mahon is also charged with stealing a wallet belonging to Mr Drake, containing a US passport, credit cards and £5 in cash. Both men were ordered to appear again on April 29th.
