REM star in court on air rage charges

REM's Peter Buck has been committed to Crown court on charges relating to an alleged air rage incident.

The guitarist is accused of assaulting two members of British Airways staff, using threatening behaviour, being drunk on board an aircraft and causing criminal damage during a flight from Seattle to Heathrow on April 21st this year.

Mr Buck, a 44-year-old father-of-two, appeared at Uxbridge Magistrates Court and was committed to Isleworth Crown Court for a plea and directions hearing to be held on July 31st.

Mr Buck, who appeared in court with his wife, was granted bail on surety of £20,000 sterling.
