Russia's President Vladimir Putin said today Russia had several times in the past warned the United States that Saddam Hussein planned "terrorist attacks" on US territory, Russian news agencies reported.
"After the events of September 11th, 2001, and before the start of the military operation in Iraq, Russian special services several times received such information and passed it on to their American colleagues," Interfax quoted Mr Putin as saying.
