PSNI seek four after bar blaze

Police in Northern Ireland are searching for four men after a bar was set alight in Newry, Co Down early this morning.

The alarm was raised shortly after 12.35am when police received reports that the bar on Kilmorey Street had been set alight.

Officers from the NI Fire and Rescue Services rescued two members of staff from the blaze. They were later taken to hospital and treated for smoke inhalation and shock.

It is believed four men entered the premises shortly after midnight and tied up the staff before setting the place alight.

Police have appealed for anyone in the bar or the area at the time who noticed anything suspicious to contact them.

The area was closed to traffic but has now reopened.
