Protest stresses child-care needs

The National Women's Council of Ireland will lead a national child-care march through Dublin city centre this afternoon

The National Women's Council of Ireland will lead a national child-care march through Dublin city centre this afternoon. The march leaves Parnell Square at 2.30 p.m. and make its way to Leinster House, where a delegation from the NWCI will meet the Minister of State for Social Inclusion, Mr Chris Flood. The State has the lowest employment rate for mothers with children under 10 in the EU, the NWCI says.
