Sinn Fein supporters protested last night outside the Department of Justice over Garda participation with the RUC in a charity boxing tournament in Belfast against a New York police team. Dublin councillor Mr Larry O'Toole said the Garda had mixed politics and sport in the sold-out tournament for the Northern Ireland Children's Cancer Fund.
It was "lending credibility to and endorsing the police force with the worst human rights record in western Europe", he added.
