THE husband of a prisoner who is himself in jail visited his newborn son yesterday at Maghaberry Prison, Co Antrim. Denise Kelly, thought to be the first prisoner in Northern Ireland to become pregnant while in prison, gave birth on Wednesday night. The baby, Caoimhin was born weighing 6 lb 4 ox at the Royal Victoria Hospital in Belfast. She became pregnant by her husband, James, during a prison visit last year. From west Belfast, she was sentenced to seven years for armed robbery in. 1994. Her husband, aged 29, from Derry, is serving a life sentence for the murder of a man in Manchester in 1986.
