The general manager of a proposed Pounds 11 million south Kilkenny factory warned yesterday that unless they could start construction of the plant by the end of next month the whole project could be in danger.

The Illinois Tool Works factory, expected to employ between 80 and 90 people, chose Belview, three miles from Waterford city, to make industrial cling film.

However, the manager, Mr David Lynch said they were already months behind schedule and were being "severely frustrated" because of a lack of proper co ordination between the planning development and local authorities.
