The results of a post-mortem on the body of a woman exhumed by British police in Co Westmeath this morning are not expected to be known for a number of days.

The West Midlands Police, who arranged for the exhumation with gardaí, said a post-mortem would be conducted bythe State Pathologist, Dr John Harbison, who would also conduct toxicology tests.

The body of Mrs Patricia Lynott (47) was exhumed from a cemetery in Athlone at 7 a.m.and taken to the Dublin City Morgue. It was due to be re-buried this evening.
