Is it the Government's intention to amend the Compellability of Witnesses' Act?

- Mr Brendan Howlin (Labour) on the possible appearance of the two judges who resigned in the Sheedy case before an Oireachtas committee.

As has been stated very openly, we are in very uncharted waters here . . . The Government has always stood behind the separation of powers and the independence of the judiciary.
