Industrial action scheduled for this week by Dail secretarial staff has been deferred at the request of the Labour Relations Commission (LRC). SIPTU and the Department of Finance negotiators have accepted an invitation from the LRC to attend talks on Monday.
The dispute is over compensation for secretaries for the inconvenience of moving to new offices. If the action had gone ahead secretarial services for TDs would have been suspended.
