Up to 60 people received a draft or full interim report from the Fennelly Commission, it has emerged.

Mr Justice Nial Fennelly is investigating the departure of former Garda commissioner Martin Callinan and the recording of telephone calls in and out of Garda stations.

A spokeswoman for the commission said interested parties had until today to submit responses to the draft report.

She said: “The deadline for all interested parties to make their submission will pass on . . . 24th July, unless an extension is applied for and granted to any person.

“The commission will be submitting its final report to the Taoiseach once all of the submissions have been considered.”

The spokeswoman could not say when the final report would be submitted.
