Capturing the moment with our political caption competition

Winning writers of best lines to describe what these politicians are up to

In December we ran a competition with images of politicians in action, looking for the best/funniest captions to describe what they are up to.

Here are the winning entries:

Picture 1: "This Christmas tree is like our coalition, lots of ornaments and only a few bright lights." - by JohnDevitt

Picture 2 - "So, my plan is this. We put on sad faces, the public see we share their pain, we get elected, brilliant isn't it. I expect Colm to be the best sad face in the party, I have asked him to practice, constantly." - by TomCallanan

Picture 3 - "This Wikipedia sign language app is total rubbish, it's nothing like what that lad's doing over there..." - by Des Cox
