Police in Northern Ireland have confirmed they are treating the death of 14-year-old Ryan Quinn in Co Antrim last weekend as murder.

Ryan died after he was struck by a train on the railway tracks near Portrush.

The PSNI have renewed their appeal for witnesses. They believe Ryan was in McLoughlin's bar near the scene of the crime before his death and are asking anyone who witnessed an altercation in or near the bar after 9pm on Friday night to contact them on 0845 600 8000 or via the Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111.

Four men who were arrested as part of the investigation have been released on bail pending further inquiries.

Ryan's funeral is due to take place later today in St John's Church in Coleraine.
