London - British police launched nationwide raids yesterday in a major investigation targeting child pornography on the Internet. Officers from 20 forces in England, Wales and Scotland launched simultaneous swoops after a six-month investigation into suspected paedophile activity.
Greater Manchester Police, which co-ordinated the operation, said police were hoping to seize computer equipment which would be examined for evidence.
