Mexico City - The former Chilean dictator Gen Augusto Pinochet, awaiting an extradition decision from Britain's Law Lords, maintained a million-dollar bank account in the United States in 1997, a Mexican newspaper reported yesterday.
If proved true, the existence of the account, at Riggs Bank, would raise questions about the origin of the funds and whether there should be an investigation.
