Stilian Petrov tonight gave Celtic double reason to celebrate after finally signing a four-year contract extension.
The news comes just hours after they booked their place in the UEFA Cup semi-final following their victory at Anfield.
Manager Martin O'Neill was delighted that the months of speculations surrounding his future has now been resolved.
"I'm absolutely delighted," said O'Neill. "Stan is fully deserving of this contract and, although it may have seemed an awfully long, drawn-out saga, I've never been in any doubt that he deserved some kind of reward for his excellent performances over the last 18 months."
