Dublin - The Palestinian-Israeli Security Implementation Agreement was described as "a promising development" by the Minister of State for Finance, Mr Martin Cullen, yesterday, reports Deaglan de Breadun. Speaking on behalf of the Minister for Foreign Affairs, he told a Pax Christi seminar on the Middle East: "It is of vital importance that the Palestinian Authority should do everything within their power to halt violence and pursue the most serious efforts to combat terrorism. "Equally, the Israelis must realise that they cannot reasonably expect the Palestinian Authority to be able to stop every act of violence and that they should, therefore, exercise restraint."
