Islamabad - The Pakistani military ruler Gen Pervez Musharraf said yesterday he would seek to change history and make a "new beginning" with India next month at the arch-rivals' first summit in more than two years.
Speaking on state television, he said the dispute over the Himalayan region of Kashmir had to be the main issue at talks with the Indian Prime Minister, Mr Atal Behari Vajpayee, expected in July.
