Former DUP leader Dr Ian Paisley is to visit the Co Sligo village of Banada next month.
The news has been welcomed by the chairman of Sligo County Council Gerry Murray who said Dr Paisley was one of a number of people who had made a valuable contribution to the peace process.
Dr Paisley will visit the John Hume Peace Park in Banada, which was opened by the former SDLP leader in 1997.
