Moscow - At least 20 people died and about 35 were still missing yesterday after firefighters put out a huge blaze at the police headquarters in the central Russian city of Samara, officials said.

Firefighters suspected the fire had been caused by a short circuit in the police computer system. Russian news agencies, however, quoted some officials saying they could not rule out arson.
