Portadown Orangemen today resumed their protest at Drumcree over the ban on marching down the nationalist Garvaghy Road.

They returned to Drumcree Hill for their regular Sunday protest after a break following the foot-and mouth-outbreak.

The Portadown lodge were joined by Orange Order Grand Master Robert Saulters when they marched from Drumcree church to police lines to demonstrate at the Parades Commission refusal to let them parade their traditional route.

On the 1,000 day of the protest they insisted their action would continue until their were allowed to march.
