Simpson is accused of breaking into a room at the Palace Station Casino yesterday, according to NBC5. The news channel reported that police are questioning Simpson and several other people.

Simpson's book about the killings of his ex-wife and her friend, entitled If I Did It, was published in the United States yesterday.

The former American football star was cleared of murdering Nicole Brown Simpson and Ronald Goldman. Simpson has maintained his innocence over the 1994 killings and was acquitted of murder in 1995.

In July, a federal bankruptcy judge awarded rights to the book to Mr Goldman's family to help satisfy a $38 million wrongful death judgment against Simpson.

Beaufort Books published the book after Harper Collins dropped it because of public outrage.
