Jerusalem - The Israeli opposition yesterday failed in its attempt to have a no-confidence vote against the Prime Minister, Mr Benjamin Netanyahu, adopted over his claim last week that the Middle East peace process "collapsed" before he came to power.

Meanwhile, Israel said its warplanes attacked Arab guerrilla targets in south Lebanon early yesterday in the fifth raid in two days.
