A Nigerian national who has pleaded guilty to attempted fraud using a false passport has been found not guilty of assaulting a GPO security official by a Dublin Circuit Criminal Court jury.
The jury failed to agree on a verdict of assault on a garda on the same occasion, on May 22nd, 2000. Aliba Aoyinde (27), Harold's Cross Road, Dublin 6, will be sentenced on Friday on the attempted fraud charge.
