A man in his fifties from Northern Ireland has drowned while fishing from the shore of Loughanure lake in Co Donegal. The man's wife raised the alarm when he failed to return to the hotel the couple were staying in. His body was recovered by local people and gardai.
It is thought that the man may have slipped and fallen into the lake. His name was not being released last night.
