A US naval commander, an Atlantic yachtsman and an explorer are among those who will receive a new worldwide magazine for University College Dublin graduates, which was launched by the Minister for Transport, Energy and Communications, Mr Dukes, in Dublin yesterday.
UCD Connections, 40,000 copies of which will be distributed to UCD alumni in the coming weeks, is the latest effort by the university to stay in touch with its estimated 80-90,000 graduates worldwide. The magazine will be published twice yearly and its readership is likely to exceed 100,000.
About 55,000 UCD alumni in more than 100 countries have been traced since 1987.
