A new Dublin crematorium was opened at Newlands Cross, Ballymount Road, yesterday. Designed by architects A&D Wejchert, the crematorium is part of the Newlands Cross Cemetery and South Dublin County Council parkland development opened last May. It will be operated by the Dublin Cemeteries Committee, a non-profit-making statutory body which also operates cemeteries at Glasnevin, Goldenbridge, Palmerstown and Dardistown.
