Campaigners against plans for a regional landfill dump and incinerator in Co Meath yesterday handed in a petition with 26,000 signatures at Meath County Council's civic offices in Duleek. The council has planning applications before it for an incinerator at Carranstown, Duleek, and a new landfill dump at Knockharley, Kentstown.
