Bonn - Otto Ernst Remer, the Nazi general who foiled a coup attempt against Adolf Hitler, died on Saturday in Spain, aged 85, the German Foreign Ministry said yesterday. Remer had been living in exile in the Andalusian resort of Marbella since 1994. He fled Germany after being sentenced to a 22-month jail term for inciting racism and publicly denying that Jews had been killed in Nazi death camps.
