There was a heavy police presence in Bermondsey, south-east London, for the march by the extreme right-wing group.

An Asian man was set upon by a gang of white men after another National Front march in the area last month.

Police said about 50 people took part in today's march from South Bermondsey railway station to Major Road.

The marches have angered community leaders who believe that the National Front is trying to stir up racial tension in the area.
