Motorola says it will cut another 7,000 jobs but have not indicated how this will affect its Irish operations.

The company, which has factories in Dublin and Cork, has already announced 32,000 job cuts world-wide this year.

Motorola now plans to cut a further 4,000 jobs through operational sell-offs, with another 3,000 expected to go through other cuts and attrition.

This will increase total cuts to 39,000 and trim the workforce to approximately 108,000 by the end of the year.
