A man in his 20s was killed last night when his motorcycle collided with a car at Moyross, Limerick. The occupants of the car suffered minor injuries and were taken to Limerick Regional Hospital. The accident occurred shortly before 10 p.m.

A man in his 70s was killed yesterday in Co Kildare when he was struck by a car. The accident occurred at 5.30 p.m. at Morristown Upper, Newbridge. The man had been walking on the hard shoulder when he was struck by the car, which was travelling in the same direction.

Three people, including a mother and daughter, have died after a road accident on the main Belfast-Derry road.

Mrs Kathleen McStocker (56) and her daughter, Bernadette (20), both from Toomebridge in Co Antrim, died after a head-on collision involving two cars at about 8 p.m. on Thursday. The driver of the second vehicle, an 83-year-old man who lived in London, was also killed.
