The court heard that Ms Ward agreed to have the book of evidence in her case served on her solicitor, Paul Cagney, by Supt Pat McCarthy of Mallow Garda station.

Supt McCarthy told Judge Eugene O'Kelly that he served the book to the solicitor in the court yesterday morning.

Supt McCarthy said the Director of Public Prosecutions had consented to the defendant being sent forward for trial to the Central Criminal Court and applied for her to be remanded in continuing custody.

Judge O'Kelly issued the accused with a formal warning that if any part of her defence was related to alibi evidence she must provide details of this evidence to the State within 14 days.

Judge O'Kelly also granted an application by Mr Cagney to extend legal aid to include one senior counsel and one junior counsel.

The case continues.
