Outcome so far: The Revenue Commissioners have recovered €8.5 million on foot of investigations from this tribunal. The Revenue Commissioners have said over the last eight or nine years there has been a change in the degree of responsiveness of financial institutions to requests for information.

Fact: Two judicial reviews taken by Denis O’Brien against this tribunal went as far as the Supreme Court and were unsuccessful. As a result, Mr O’Brien owes the tribunal €610,831 plus interest.
