Rade Markovic, Serbia's secret police chief during the rule of Slobodan Milosevic, was arrested, a senior Serbian police source said today.
The source said the arrest was linked to a car crash in 1999 in which opposition leader Vuk Draskovic was slightly injured and four of his associates were killed.
Markovic was arrested in the evening, the source said. No further details were immediately available.
