Sanaa - Yemen yesterday executed an Islamic militant leader convicted of kidnapping and killing Western hostages last year, the official SABA news agency reported.
"Zein al-Abideen Abu Bakr Abdullah al-Mehdar, alias Abu al-Hassan, who had been convicted of grave crimes. . . in Abyan governorate. . . was executed," it said.
