A Co Meath couple have collected a Lotto win of more than €5

A Co Meath couple have collected a Lotto win of more than €5.7 million, their share of last Saturday’s jackpot, at the National Lottery headquarters in Dublin.

The pair, who wish to remain anonymous, chose the same numbers they had played for 10 years when buying the ticket at Tesco in Bettystown on the day of the draw.

The delighted husband said yesterday he knew the numbers would come up “at some stage”. His wife described the win as “like a dream”.

The couple shared the jackpot of more than €11.526 million, the biggest so far this year, with Kildare woman Giustina Macari.
