Racing: Sher Beau finally landed the decent prize he has threatened for some time by winning the Irish Form Book An Uaimh Chase at Navan.

Philip Fenton's charge had some top-class form to his name over hurdles and as a novice chaser, but he had lost his way a little lately.

But given a waiting ride by Andrew McNamara, the 5-1 chance took over at the second-last to beat No Full by 10 lengths, with 11-4 favourite Justpourit third.

Fenton said: "This horse has had more than one problem in the past. He's a very sound horse but he's a very unhealthy horse and this is the first time he's scoped clean in 18 months.

"He lives in a field and is very infection-prone. But he's a good horse when he's right on the day. Although it's only a slight possibility, he may go to Killarney in May rather than go to Punchestown."
